System Features: Thin Client Technology

Thin client technology dramatically reduces your PC’s requirements. With thin client technology the server is doing all the processing and the PC’s are emulating off of the server dramatically reducing the I/O back and forth between the PC and the server.

With Aptean Apparel ERP software being developed in a thin client technology allows a clean connection to the server. Many of our competitors with client server utilize a terminal server to make the connectivity to the P/Cs to operate in a thin client mode. This requires more hardware and another layer of software to improve performance.

System Features: Easy Portability

Aptean Apparel ERP software can be installed on an Intel® based CPU running Linux® for smaller clients so hardware costs can be minimal. For larger clients, or if growth takes you into a larger size business, you can purchase an IBM® RISC AIX or Hewlett Packard® RISC HPUX and migrate Aptean Apparel ERP without any conversion necessary.

Allows for networked printers and saving to desktop. Aptean Apparel ERP also allows several email and screen display options including: PDF, Text, Excel, Portrait and Landscape.
